Who We Are — Working under the direction of the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners and the Business Development Advisory Council (BDAC), OED’s purpose is to maintain and promote the economic vitality of our county and ensure job growth. The Business Development Advisory Council is a group of business professionals from diverse segments of our business community. The BDAC sets priorities and works on projects and initiatives with OED staff — for example, we work together to help resident businesses thrive and attract new companies to our area.
